Global youth coalition

GYC – Oxford Net ZERO

The GYC-ONZ capacity building program aims to train the global youth to make a positive and efficient impact during COP28 conference and beyond. We believe the youth are ready to take the lead with fewer words and more actions.

Reeforesting for Peace

Simple, Sustainable, Solution. This is our attempt to raise awareness around global peace. We understand the difficult moments that our planet is going through. There is no space for wars if we want to reach our goal to mitigate climate change. We support on going projects that are reforesting, recovering coral reefs or mangroves and ask them to add the intention of peace to their purpose.

WE ARE ONE.

COP28 Tool Kit

We understand how difficult is to get funding, badges, hotels and all the logistics that are involved when you want to attend a conference like COP. We expect to deliver a digital tool kit to our 220 UN youth delegate members to help them achieve their goals and attend the Conference of Parties which will take place in Dubai by the end of this year, 2023

Who We Are

Our coalition believes in inclusivity, empowering proactive youth to participate in decision-making regardless of background or circumstances. We foster collaboration among young people and organizations working on climate change to promote sustainable and equitable solutions. We use sociocracy as a governance structure, ensuring all voices are heard and decisions made with participation from all members. Above all, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our youth members in every step of the way, as we strive to create a future that is sustainable, equitable, and resilient for all.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a world where young people are empowered, equipped and safe to lead the fight against climate change. Through our coalition, we aim to build a strong, cohesive, and effective youth-led movement that can drive advocacy for real and lasting change in the way we address the global climate crisis in the climate negotiations. We believe that by working together, we can create a future that is sustainable, equitable, and resilient for all, with the active participation and safety of our youth members every step of the way.

Our Mission

The mission of the global youth coalition is to empower and mobilize young people from around the world to take action on climate change. By building capacities, creating networks, and fostering collaboration, we aim to create a powerful youth-led movement that can advocate for ambitious climate policies, secure climate finance for projects and solutions and take active participation in climate change conferences, ensuring the safety and well-being of our youth members.
